In post-war 1947, when traditional materials were difficult to find, Guccio Gucci and the House’s Florentine artisans decided to use the lightweight, durable bamboo for the handle of a new bag, forging an instant emblem.
Heritage elements are reimagined with a contemporary twist throughout the Aria collection. An emblem of Gucci’s origins, bamboo has appeared throughout the House’s collections since the ’40s. After over eight decades, the material defines this mini bag in black leather. The accessory is presented with a detachable shoulder strap, adding a versatile feel.
